Neulastim is used primarily as a supportive therapy for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.Neulastim is a long-acting form of Recombinant Human Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor or G-CSF. G-CSF is produced naturally by your body in the bone marrow and assists in the production of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell). White blood cells are an important part of your immune system as they defend the body against infection by destroying foreign bodies (like bacteria or viruses) in the blood.
